![]() (The console does this sometimes, and it's not clear why.) They were then unable to tell the difference by sight alone, as is possible for those with more experience, so assumed it must be 60fps. I think the poster was just confused by the PS5 automatically exporting a 60fps video for a 30fps game. It's captured at 60fps, but the game only updates every other frame.īut I doubt there's any intent to deceive. Even the video supposedly showing it at 60fps, isn't. Unfortunately, the framerate cap can't be modded off though. You can turn on pretty much as many visual mods as you want and still maintain framerate, which isn't possible on any PS4. Skyrim is capped at 30fps on PS5, and runs at native 4K. I made this available precisely because the lists are so long and can be confusing. Note that you can do a Ctrl-F "Search in Page" on the lists to find games, rather than trying to just eyeball them. ![]() I use official names, so it's listed under "Elder Scrolls V". But GreedFall does have a patch coming sometime this year. That Access video runs 40-50fps and never actually hits 60, so it's probably an early promotional thing from the publisher they had lying around, before the dev decided to cap at 30fps on console. (And technically dynamic, though I doubt it ever falls much.) But it is indeed 60fps rather than 30fps, at least for all the scenarios at the beginning of the game. I haven't seen specific gameplay from PS5, but most titles are slightly improved from their Pro incarnations. It holds 60fps pretty well, though there are some dips. I'll add the mode-which is indeed 1080p-in this thread when next I update.įrom my PS4 Pro thread, the game is static 1620p ("dynamic 4K" is just a marketing term here, not a technical one). Thanks for pointing this out, it's totally my error leaving off the framerate mode when I transferred from my PS4 Pro thread (where it's properly shown). Just need to know if that's a capture problem or a local one. But I haven't seen any footage to say what framerate it actually runs at.ĭo the cutscenes stutter and hitch severely while you're playing? Because they're very, very bad on Youtube. Hellpoint has recently been patched with an option to unlock framerate, surely to accommodate PS5. Left Alive is 30fps on Pro, and I haven't heard of any updates to it for PS5. But there are very suggestive hints of several games playing only as well as PS4 Pro when run on PS5. We don't have any definitive examples of a PS4 game playing only as well as standard PS4 on PS5. (Note that this isn't truly native the highest possible BC settings do not use the entire compute power of the PS5.) This has been known since Mark Cerny's Road to PS5 talk showed separate PS4 and PS4 Pro legacy modes, as well as the "PS5 native" BC mode. However, it's very possible for PS4 games to run on PS5 exactly as if it were a standard PS4. I'm not convinced that this is what's happening in the game. Thanks a lot for the details! I'll be adding the game in the next update, alongside the warnings. Native PS5 tech details can be found in this thread. It doesn't appear because it's received a patch to make it PS5 native instead of BC. Also, are there two different modes in the game? I've found footage that's 60fps, but also at 30fps even though captured at 60. If anyone can post 4K screenshots from PS5, that would be key. ![]() I've actively tried to find info on Outer Wilds not just in the thread, and have been unable to fill in all the details. I'm still a few pages behind, but wanted to answer some questions that have been asked. Just popping in to say that I'm trying very hard to catch up on analyzing and recording everything that's been posted. Not instant as in button press and done, but barely noticable It's pretty much instant it seems? Was that also on PS4? It really shocked me, that's how fast it was so I am really curious. Neverwinter on PS5 - Framerate cap turned offĮdit 2 - Just recorded some Titanfall 2 and was kind of shocked at how good it looked but most of all, the loading. In 1 minute after booting - oh this looks like jankĪfter 1 hour of playing - mmmm interesting You still got shit like Styx, but whatever, in general, it's really solid. I booted up around 200 games the past 2 weeks and I honestly can not think of any other studio / publisher who had such a streak of decent to fast loading games. You could argue 'it isn't doing much crazy stuff' but so aren't many other simpler games that take way, way waaaay longer to load. Just look at The Council as well, it's just instant really. E: Late edit, something I really do start to notice is that some of those games that Focus Home Interactive published / released the last few years are loading really fast by console standards.
